Documentary wedding photography — with a little help when you need it.

Natural, unposed and true to life. We keep the moments nobody staged, and when a little guidance helps, we give simple prompts, then step back.

Our approach

We document first. We guide when it helps.

Real moments lead: hugs, happy chaos and everything in between. No staging, no fuss. You live the day; we keep it as it happens.

When a little direction helps, for portraits, a quiet ten minutes or a family photo, we give simple prompts: where to stand, how to use the light, what to do with your hands. Then we step back so everything stays natural.

  • The two of youGetting ready, the ceremony, the quiet moments in between.
  • Your guestsReactions, hugs, the friend who cried first.
  • The detailsRings, letters, flowers, the table you spent weeks on.
  • The partySpeeches, first dance, the dance floor until late.

No staging. Just two people who had a very good day.

Prompts, not poses

What we actually say when you ask for help

A prompt gives you something to do or say, so your body and face do the rest. A pose tells you where to put your chin. We prefer the first.

We use prompts for portraits, family photos and the quieter ten minutes after the ceremony. The rest of the day, we simply document.

  1. Walk towards us and tell each other the most chaotic moment of planning.

Why it worksWalking gives your bodies something to do; the story gives your faces something real. You’ll laugh before you reach us.

  2. Step into the window light and forget we’re here for a minute.

Why it worksGood light does half the work. A minute of quiet lets your shoulders drop, and the camera disappears.

  3. Hold hands. Don’t place them, just hold them.

Why it worksPlaced hands look placed. Holding hands is a habit, so it looks like you.

  4. Whisper what you’re most looking forward to tonight.

Why it worksWhispering pulls you close without anyone arranging you, and the reaction is always honest.

  5. Forehead to forehead. Breathe out together.

Why it worksOne slow breath resets a nervous face in seconds. It’s a small pause in a loud day.

  6. Go back to your guests. We’ll find you.

Why it worksSome of the best portraits happen when you’re not posing at all. You live it; we follow.

Our edit

Colour that still looks right in ten years

We edit for how the day felt, not for this season’s trend.

  • Clean skin tonesEvery skin tone looks like itself. Subtle retouching, never plastic.
  • Gentle contrastSoft light stays soft; shadows keep their detail.
  • No heavy filtersNo presets that date your photos. Film-inspired, never film-faked.

Kind words

They captured our wedding perfectly and authentically, exactly the way we felt at every stage of the day.

James and James · photographed by Serg & Alex

We were looking for a wedding photographer who could capture our emotions in a documentary style, guide us through poses if needed, and photograph not only us but also our guests, the wedding details, and the party. Serg, along with the second photographer, Alex, delivered all of this and more.

We could not be happier with the photos. They captured our wedding perfectly and authentically, exactly the way we felt at every stage of the day. All the little details looked even more beautiful in the images, and the editing style was absolutely stunning. They are so talented at capturing both posed and candid moments. We are honestly having the hardest time choosing our favorites because we love so many of them.

Coordination was smooth from our first contact through the website to the day-of logistics across multiple locations. Serg and Alex were professional, punctual, and easy to work with.

We highly recommend Serg if you want a photographer who is talented, thoughtful, and truly understands how to tell the story of your day. Thank you again so much.
